In late 1860 Warren was enumerated as the non-Cherokee head of a household residing in the Delaware District of the Cherokee Nation, Indian Territory. A Cherokee by blood through her mother, Martha was enumerated in 1851 as a Cherokee "Old Settler" and received "Old Settler" payments in 1896, proving she was born at present-day Oklahoma. Warren and Martha had the following three known children:• i. Julia Ivey Thomas, b. June 30, 1858 in the Delaware District of the Cherokee Nation, Indian Territory, and d. Oct. 5, 1902 at Stilwell in the Cherokee Nation, now Stilwell, Adair County, Oklahoma; m. in 1875, Walter Scott Sixkiller, a Cherokee by blood, s. of Arch Sixkiller and Charlotte, b. Oct. 10, 1855.
