Wanda R. Hill-Hottenstein, 83, of Fostoria, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2005, at her residence. She was born Oct. 28, 1921, in Risingsun, to the late Glen and Chloe (Zimmerman) Russell. Her first husband, Dale Hill, preceded her in death on Sept. 14, 1977. She married Roger Hottenstein on Aug. 2, 1997. Those who survive her include: her husband; a son, Rodney Hill, Risingsun; a grandson, Nathan (Tammy) Hill, Gibsonburg; two granddaughters, Natalie (Sam) Krieger, Ottawa Lake, Mich.; and Monica (Todd) Burmeister, Gibsonburg; and seven great-grandchildren. Her parents, a husband and a sister in infancy preceded her in death. A graduate of Risingsun High School, Mrs. Hottenstein worked as the manager of both the former Lord’s and Spiegel retail stores in Fostoria. More recently, she was a sales clerk at the St. Vincent DePaul store. She was a devoted member of the Girton Church of God and also belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary, Risingsun. Mrs. Hottenstein enjoyed watching OH State football and traveling and had an extensive collection of angels and butterflies. Visitation was held Friday, Jan. 28, 2005, from 5-8 p.m. in the Mann-Hare Funeral Home. Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 29, 2005, in the Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria, with the Rev. Challen Stewart presiding. Burial was held in Scott Trinity Cemetery, near Risingsun. Memorials are suggested to Scott Trinity Cemetery, near Risingsun.
