According to Jody Dillard: In 1937 Walter begins working for Haliburton Co. in Anson, Texas. In 1946 he moves to Haliburton in Abilene where in 1967,he received a gold watch for 30 yrs. Walter developed the first straddle packer for Halliburton. His personal patent rights were signed away to Halliburton, as is the usual procedure.
