Pitman & Company, carrying a large line of hardware, mill supplies, cutlery, small wares and so on. Mr. Pitman has an interest in the Pitman Manufacturing Company: possesses large real estate interests in Laconia, has an elegant residence, and owns and rents numerous cottages in the city. He is a Republican in politics and in religion a Congregationalist, being a member of the North Church, and quite active in all affairs of the church and church society. He married Flora E. Jackman, daughter of Humphrey and Emma (Nichols) Jackman. They have had five children: Helen Elizabeth, born July 29, 1890, died February 27, 1898: Joseph Prescott, May 9, 1892: Florence Ruth, August 5, 1894: Richard Jackman, October 7, 1901: Stanley Herbert, November 12, 1906.
