1895-birth certificate name W.W. Jordan 1900 census- age 5 1910 census -age 17 (should be 15) 1914 abt - 18 5/12 years old when registered the first time, laborer,3 year enlistment.#1849348 1919-reenlisted. Solderer when enlisted for the second time. 1920 Honerable discharged as clerk. 1919-on daughter Nannies birth cert-listed as mechanic 1920 census-age 24-enumerated as Walter Gordon-driver of express truck. 1920-listed in directory as a bridge worker and he lived at 1418 N. 23rd St. 1930 census-age36-carpenter working on buildings.

He died of tuberculosis in the Nassau Sanitorium. After diagnosed, the family was tested, and Mom was thought to have the symptoms also and had to be hospitalized at the same place...6 months to a year. They moved to Amityville to be close to the sanitorium where Mom was hospitalized.
