    Walter Kramer Crumrine, aged 62 years, nine months and 17 days, Spanish-American War veteran and widely known in eastern Greene County, died Saturday, April 29, 1939, at his home near Carmichaels after an illness of several months. A son of Neal and Mary Hart Crumrine, he was born July 12, 1876, at Zollarsville, Washington County, but spent most of his life in Greene County. Besides his wife, Elizabeth Stewart Crumrine, he leaves five sons, Kenneth, Ralph, Guy, Linley and Eugene, all of Carmichaels. Also surviving are one grandson and two brothers, Frank Crumrine, in the Philippine Islands, and Chester Crumrine, of Brownsville. Mr. Crumrine served through the war with Spain in the Philippines as a member of the 30th Regiment Band. He was a member and trustee of the Glades Presbyterian Church.
    CRUMRINE -- Funeral services for Walter Kramer Crumrine, of near Carmichaels, will be held Tuesday afternoon with short services at the home at 1:30 o'clock, followed by further rites at the Glades Presbyterian Church with Rev I. L. Crooks in charge. Burial will be in the Mononghaela Hill Cemetery at Mapletown with full military honors in charge of the Spanish War Veterans of Waynesburg and the Veterans of Foreign Wars of Greene County.
