Walter ADAY died in Grainger Co., TN in 1806 and his wife Mary came to Huntsville, Madison Co, Alabama (MS Territory at that time). Four of the family were in War of 1812. Land records of 1809 Horatio is already in Huntsville. By the time of statehood 1819, Levi, Boaz, Horatio, Lloyd, John, John F. are in AL. A William also gets land in Lawrence Co., Brushy Creek. I am searching for the one who is the parent of my George W. ADAY b 1806 TN. He married a cousin Mary Edey in Lawrence County about 1822. They had a homestead and stayed at Pinhook, Lawrence Co until they died. There are two other men of the same name who were younger family ,members in AL. If you can help sort the children of Walter or if you know who the father of George is, will you please reply ? I have a lot of information to share. Thank you, Helen Austin, Decatur, AL [email protected] |
