Mr. Battles
W.Q. Battles, 87, 616 Jackson Trail, Attalla, died Monday at the residence following an extended illess. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Home Chapel, Attalla, with the Rev. Robert Hooper officiating. Burial in Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Survivors: daughters, Mrs. Marie Garrard, Attalla, Mrs. Ann Davis, Burton, Mich., Mrs. Flo Tarrance, Brookside ; sons, Lowe, R.v., Bice and Jim Battles, Gadsden, Deard Battles, Reece City ; sisters, Mrs. Nannie Jackson, Ashville ; 23 grandchildren ; 31 great-grandchildren. Mr. Battles was a native of St. Clair County and a resident of Etowah County most of his life. The body will remain at the funeral home through the hour of service. The family will receive friends after 5 p.m. today.
