CUMBERLAND - Virginia Belle (Slonaker) Clark, 84, of Cumberland, died on Tuesday, April 3, 2007, at the WMHS-Memorial Campus. Born Aug. 30, 1922, in Dayton, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Charles Slonaker and Ruth Naomi (Conway) Slonaker. Mrs. Clark was also preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Henry Clark. A graduate of Fort Hill High School, Class of 1940, Mrs. Clark was employed by the State of Maryland and a member of the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. She is survived by her daughters, Ruth Keifer, and husband, Peter, of Cumberland, and Marlene Huffman, and husband, Joe, of Kidron, Ohio; her sisters, Ethel Wilhelm and Bea Mayo; 5 grandchildren & 4 greats. A private celebration of Virginia's life will be held at a later date. The Adams Family Funeral Home, of Cumberland, MD, is in charge of the arrangements.
