Virginia Joy Schulte Crumrine was born in San Diego, California on 22 December 1923. Her parents were Alton E. Schulte and Virginia B. Forbes Schulte who was also born in San Diego, California. She had 2 sisters; Margery Epler of El Cajon, California and Carol Pyle (who passed in 2006).
Virginia graduated from San Diego High School in 1942. She enjoyed collecting salt and pepper shakers, dolls, and nutcrackers. She also loved to crochet.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and sang in the choir.
Virginia was blessed with 6 children: Christopher (who passed in 2014); RB - Salinas, CA; Maryanne Savary - Menifee, CA; Jon - Rhome, TX; Jay - Kansas City, MO; and Saralyn Borboa (who passed in 2016.) She also has 14 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.
Her husband Franklin H. Crumrine passed in 2005. They were married over 52 years.
Virginia passed peacefully from cancer at home under hospice care on 18 December 2020.
