Sun, The (Baltimore, MD) - February 5, 1993 Deceased Name: Virginia Raine Litsinger Virginia Raine Litsinger, who was active in community work in Towson and in church work, died Wednesday of congestive heart failure at Good Samaritan Hospital. She was 82 and had moved from Towson to the Glen Meadows Retirement Community in Glen Arm six years ago. She had been president and secretary of its residents' association. Known as Ginny, the former Virginia Raine was a native of Towson and a graduate of the Lida Lee Tall School at Towson State University, Towson High School and Goucher College. In World War II, she organized Red Cross benefit cotillions in Baltimore County. For many years, she headed the Mothers March of Dimes in Towson. She was also a founder, 28 years ago, of the Surprise Shop at Trinity Episcopal Church in Towson. A life master of contract bridge, she taught the game at various locations in the Baltimore area. She and her husband, William C. Litsinger, also won club badminton and duckpin bowling tournaments. Mr. Litsinger, retired personnel director for Baltimore County, died in 198 Memorial services are to be conducted at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Trinity Episcopal Church, 120 Allegheny Ave. in Towson, and at 3:30 p.m. Sunday in the chapel at Glen Meadows, 11630 Glen Arm Road. Survivors include two sons, William C. Litsinger Jr. of Baldwin and retired Army Lt. Col. John Edward Raine Litsinger of Annandale, Va.; a sister, Helen Dade Taylor of Mechanicsburg, Pa.; a brother, David L. Raine of Kilmarnock, Va.; and five grandchildren.
