Virginia Magee Simmonds Bryan, 84, a resident of Franklinton, died at 8:37 a.m. Tuesday in St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Franklinton. Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Albert Simmonds of New York City, NY, and Randy J. and Clare B. Simmonds of Vail, CO; two granddaughters, Whitney Magee Simmonds and Jamie Burleson Simmonds, both of Vail; two sisters, Maudine Knight of Franklinton and Bessie Schumacker of Baton Rouge; and a brother, Richard "Dick" Magee of Franklinton. She was preceded in death by her husbands, William Daus Simmonds and Eual Bryan; and her parents, W.E. Sr. and Clara Bateman Magee. Visitation will be held at Crain Funeral Home from 10 a.m. tomorrow until time of the funeral service, to be conducted from the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. Dr. Gene Richards and Rev. Luther Stanford will officiate at the service. Burial will follow in the Ellis Cemetery.
