Jean Magee Warren, 80, a resident of Franklinton, died at 5:15 a.m. yesterday in St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington. She was the longtime owner of The Fashion Shop in Franklinton and was the widow of John P. Warren and a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, John Ira Warren and Dr. Stephen and Nina Warren, both of Franklinton; a daughter, Cathy W. and Barry Stringfield of Franklinton; three sisters, Maudine Knight, Virginia Bryan, both of Franklinton, and Bessie Schumacker of Baton Rouge; a brother, Richard "Dick" Magee of Franklinton; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, William Eugene and Clara Bateman Magee; three sisters, Vickie Holmes, Clairice Richardson, and Alyene Consterdine; and a brother, William Bill Magee.
Visitation will be held at Crain Funeral Home from 9 a.m. tomorrow until time of the funeral service, to be conducted from the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. The Rev. Randy Simmonds and Dr. Gene Richards will officiate at the service. Burial will follow in the Ellis Cemetery.
