  • Pvt. U.S. Army, WW2-Pvt. Whittington was killed in action on 9-14-1944 while serving in Italy with the 362nd Infantry Regiment of the 91st Infantry Division. Pvt. Whittington did his training with the 91st Division at Camp Blanding, Florida, and was in North Africa by April of 1944 then Italy.
  • Awards: Purple Heart Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, American Campaign Medal, European Campaign Medal with 2 Battle Stars, Army Good Conduct Medal.
