World War I Draft Registration Card says he was of medium height and build with blue eyes and brown hair. When he registered in June 1917, he was working for his father as a marine contractor assistant. It also says he has previous military service as a Corporal in the Infantry in Massachusetts. Living in Stamford, CT at 1920 and 1930 census. In 1930, owned home valued at $8000. Listed in 1935 Stamford Directory at 33 Cowing place. He was living in Glenbrook, CT when he registered for the World War II Draft and was unemployed. Arrived in New York aboard the Munargo from Glasgow 11 May 1942. Death record lists his occupation as retired marine engineer. References
