Services for Virden Ault will be held at 11:00 Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton, with Pastor John Musgrave officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery.

He died at 9:27 pm Saturday, October 22, 2016 at his residence. He was born on August 16, 1923 to the late Frank and Ida (Schluep) Ault on the family farm where he lived all but 6 of his 93 years. On November 16, 1952 he married Doris I. Flowers and she survives in Kenton.
From this union they had 4 children, Brenda (Dennis) Comstock; Peg (Terry) Williams; Michael (Michele) Ault; and Teresa (Richard) Williams. He was a grandfather to 10 grandchildren, Melissa; Andrew; Brian; Eric; Natasha; Bradley; Lindsay; Alicia; Mitchell; and Samantha; and a great grandfather to Aaliyah; Trenton; Ethan; Evan; Grady; and Ace.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Bernard and Kenneth Ault.
Virden was a farmer and family man all his life, he helped his son with the farming until he was 92.
He was a 1941 graduate of Dola High School where he class president all four years. He was a member of the basketball team and the band. He was on the Dola Elevator Board and was a township trustee from 1970 to 1977.
Virden loved hunting and fishing. In his younger years he was a member of the Dola Fox and Coon hunters club. In his "retired" years he enjoyed woodworking and made several things of remembrance for his family and close friends.
