Military Service: WW II, U.S. Navy Obituary from Middletown Times Herald-Record, March 18, 2003 VINCENT "CASEY" IRWIN Stamford, Conn. Vincent "Casey" Irwin, a Stamford, Conn. resident, formerly of Napanoch, a retired director of materials/purchasing at Channel Master Co. in Ellenville, died of cancer on Wednesday, March 12, 2003 at the Richard L. Rosenthal Hospice in Stamford, Conn. He was 76. The son of the late Cornelius and Della Krom Irwin, he was born on September 10, 1926, in Ellenville. Vincent served in the US Navy during WWII. He served as the president of Channel Master Credit Union for two decades. Mr. Irwin was a member of the American Legion, a former member of the Napanoch Fire Co., and was also involved in local charities. Survivors include his wife, Marie DePew Irwin of Stamford, Conn.; his daughter, Laura Beaudry of Stamford, Conn.; his twin sister, Virginia Cleary of Ulster Heights; his brother, Lyle Irwin of Willow Springs, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Irwin was predeceased by his sister, Edith Davis. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 18 at 4 p.m. at the Leo P. Gallagher and Son Funeral Home, 2900 Summer Street, Stamford, Conn. The Rev. Ann Schmidt will officiate. Cremation will take place at the convenience of the family. Donations may be made to St. Mark's United Methodist Church, St. Mark's Place, Napanoch, NY 12458.
