Will Abstract
- Will of Vincent Garner
- To my son Jonas Garner whatever I have put in his possession, also 10 shillings to be paid out of my estate.
- To my son James Garner what I have put in his possession, also the tract of land he now lives on, at the mouth of the land between me and the said James to the Great Branches...to James Withers, formerly purchased form Jonas Garner, then to James Pares, surveyed by John Bauzey including 50 acres, also 10 shillings.
- I give to my daughter Sarah Settle, wife of William Settle, a negro named Fillis at the death of my wife.
- To my wife Jemima during her natural life...remainder of property...then to be divided among my five children Vincent, William W., Jesse, Elizabeth Garner, Jemima Harris, the wife of William Harris.
- His grandson, James Withers, was also mentioned.
- Executors were sons Vincent and William W. Garner.
- Witnesses were Enoch Keene Withers, James Withers, Aaron Fletcher and John Kines

Estate Records
- Vincent Garner, the executor of Vincent Garner, deceased', with William W., Jesse, Elizabeth Garner, Jemima Harris and William Harris, sold to William Harris for 150 lbs the land of Vincent Garner, deceased, lying on the branch of Great Run, beginning at James Withers' on the Licking Run adjoining Benjamin Garner and Jonas Garner's land, 187 acres. The deed was signed by Vincent Garner, William Garner, Jesse Garner, Elizabeth Garner, Jemima Harris, Thomas S. Garner. Witnesses were James Withers, James Harris, W.W. Hunter, Vincent Garner, Burr Harrison. [Fauquier County, Virginia Deed Book 16, p.34].
