    ... Electius Simms died intestate in Charles County during 1752, when his widow, Virlinda Simms, was granted letters of administration, with William Coomes and Leonard Mitchell as her sureties. The personal estate was distributed on August 25, 1753, among the following heirs—Joseph aged 20, Winifred aged 17, Edward aged 14, Ignatius aged 13, Anthony aged 12, Sarah aged 10, Mary aged 7, and Virlinda aged 2.

    At the same time the personal estate of Ignatius Sanders, the son of Virlinda Simms by her first husband John Sanders, was distributed by Alexius Simms and Virlinda his wife among the following heirs; his mother Virlinda Simms; Prudence Mitchell at age; Joseph Semmes aged 20; Winifred Simms at age; Edward Simms aged 14; Ignatius Simms aged 13; Sarah Simms aged 10; Anthony Simms aged 12; and Mary Semmes aged 7. The inventory of his estate had been taken on January 12, 1750.

    The widow, Virlinda Sanders-Simms, died intestate in 1755, when her son-in-law Leonard Mitchell was made the administrator. Joseph Simms and Winifred Simms approved the appraisement of the inventory, and when all disbursements were made, the balance was distributed among the following heirs—Prudence Mitchell, Joseph Simms, Winifred Thompson, Edward Simms, Ignatius Simms, Anthony Simms, Sarah Simms, Mary Simms, and Virlinda Simms. ...
