GROFF Daily American, September 5, 2001 

 Vera Groff, 93, of Confluence, died Sept. 3, 2001 at Somerset Hospital.  Born April 29, 1908 in Ohiopyle.  Daughter of the late Hampton and Millie (Myers) Hall.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by grandson John Sellner Jr., brothers Kenneth and Logan Hall and sister Beulah Bisel.  Survived by her husband of 68 years Ned K. and daughters Nancy Sellner of Prince George's County, Md. and Judith Ward and her husband Richard of Charles County, Md; five grandchildren; seven  great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.  Member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Confluence.  Friends will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence where services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Rev. George Mason officiating.  Interment in Johnson Chapel  Cemetery.
