SWEPSONVILLE - Mrs Vennie Lee Coble, 63, of Swepsonville was dead on arrival at a Burlington hospital at 4 o'clock Friday afternoon following a brief illness.

A native of Alamance County, Mrs Coble was the daughter of thr late Rhomie D and daisy Askew Farrell. She was the wife of Tash E Coble of the home, who survives, and was a member of Swepsonville Methodist Church.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include five daughters, Mrs Helen Lovette of Graham, Mrs Ruth Haney and Mrs Jerlene Cranford, both of Burlington, Mrs Louise Bennett of Swepsonville, and Mrs Patsy Coggins of Rt 1, Graham; two sons, Mervin Coble of Graham and Marvin Coble of the home; one brother, R Hoyle Farrell of Swepsonville; one sister, Mrs Lois Teer of Rt 2, Graham; 12 grandchildren.

Final rites will be held at Swepsonville Methodist Church Sunday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. The Rev Ralph W Pritchard, pastor, and the rev John R Poe, former pastor of the church, will conduct the service. Burial will be in Phillip's Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery.

The body will remain at McClure Funeral Home in Graham until taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. The family will receive friends at thr funeral home tonight from 7 to 9 o'clock.
