Velma A. Knotts, 89, of Navarre, Ohio, formerly of Millstone, died Thursday, Apr. 11, 2002, in Doctors Hospital, Massillon, Ohio.

She was born in Calhoun County, the daughter of the late Ellis and Locia Bourne Vannoy.

Surviving are her husband of 72 years, Eucle Knotts; one daughter, Debbie Frey of Navarre, Ohio; one son, Robert Vannoy of Smithsburg, Md.; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Calvin Knotts, and two sisters, Vervia Poling and Verna Fowler.

Services were held at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg. Burial was in Minnora Cemetery.
