PIERATT NOTES SENT TO WILLIAM DARRELL WARNER JR. by SHERRI STANCLIFF

                   Sarah 9/12 f KY 1859

This is Sarah [Shultz] Pieran, widow of James Pieratt. When they were married (bond) Mar. 26, 1814 James' father, Valentine, was listed in the records as was Elizabeth Shultz, mother of the bride. A John Shultz was a bondsman. Evidently they were both under age. James Pieratt age 57 died near Owingsville on July 29, 1852. The death record noted that he was the son of Valentine and Elizabeth Pieratt. In the 1860 census Sarah was living next to David Pieratt age 39 who has assets of 3000/?37, so it appears the family property is in the name of David who is probably a son of James and Sarah [Shultz] Pieratt. Her son Valentine is married to Viana who was born in exactly the same year as Vienna, daughter of Jonas and Elizabeth [Clayton] Warner.

If Vienna was the daughter of Jonas and Elizabeth [Clayton] Warner, and Cordelia was the daughter of Allen and Margaret [Stanclift] Warner, then Cordelia has come to live with her aunt. Allen listed as Tandy A. Warner was also a child of Jonas. Cordelia's sister, Emma, was living this year with the James Roberson Family. The Warner Cemetery Records indicate that Mary Fenton [Pieratt] Warner, wife of Jonathan Shultz Warner who was born 1881 and died January 24, 1918, was the daughter of Jake Pieratt and Mary [Tifton] Pieratt. Was "Jake" identical with Jacob son of Valentine and Vienna [Warner] Pieran? Do they also have common ancestors in the Shultz family? Sherry S.
