    Case 24181: Gleeson, Uriah. Charlton. 1776.

    1 Jun 1776: "where as god in his provedenc has taken away my husband by death I am made the widdo of the late Uriah Glesson of Charlton desest", requests Mr John Stevens of Charlton as administrator. Signed Abigail Gleeson.
    2 Sep 1776: Bond of John Stevens of Charlton Yeoman as administrator on the Estate of Uriah Gleeson late of Charleton.
    11 Jun 1776: Inventory of the estate of Uriah Gleeson Late of Charlton Deces't, by Joseph Edwards, James Lamb, Timothy Barton, includes "farm l[y]ing in Charlton about a mile and a half E[a]st of the meeting hous[e]". £183-19-6-2.
    5 Jun 1777: Account of administrator John Stevens. Balance to be paid one third to widow, double share to Peter Gleason the oldest son, single share to the other five children.

  3. Source:Wilson, Lillian May. Genealogy of the Descendants of Thomas Gleason of Watertown, Mass., 1607-1909, p. 49, quotes the church book of Oxford as saying, "On July 2, 1769, Uriah Gleason, formerly of Oxford, dismissed to the church at Charlestown." It probably said, or meant, Charlton.
