"… _____ _____; 'Sister Benham' appears in the 10 March 1646/7 seating of the New Haven meetinghouse and 'Goodwife Benham the elder' in the seating of 11 February 1655/6 [NHCR 1:304; NHTR 1:273; she died between 13 April 1660 and 20 July 1660, perhaps of an illness contracted on a sea journey with her husband just before the earlier date [Davenport 156, 166]."
