The Addison County records, Index to Deeds, 1774-1926 (LDS Microfilm 0865018) shows a number of Thompsons in the Orwell area. If and when Amy Thompson's father's name is discovered, he may be included. The Vital Records of Orwell (LDS film 1697520) show two marriages that may be pertinent Baker, Christopher, of Whiting, Addison Co., married Betsey Thompson of Orwell at Orwell August 14, 1806 by Ebenezer Wheelock, Councillor (Vol. 5, p. 11). No further info has been found Hale, Benjamin and Judith Thomson [no p] both of Orwell married at Orwell January 28, 1806 by Wesley Perkins, JP (Vol. 4, p. 507). According to the IGI Benjamin Hale Birth: 18 NOV 1786 Orwell, Addison, Vermont Marriage: 08 JAN 1806 <Of Canton, , , New York> Death: 08 JAN 1853 Wife Judith Thompson Pedigree Birth: Of Canton, , , New York Death: 29 MAR 1859 A Genealogy of Descendants of John Thomson of Plymouth, Mass. by Charles Hutchinson Thompson. Publbished in 1890 by Darius D. Thorp, Lansing, Michigan states that Emily Thompson Warren's sister Caroline born 5 May 1811 Poultney, Vermont, married Daniel Heath 25 Aug 1831 and that she died 21 May 1872. Family went to Ronald, Michigan. This will have to be checked. |
