While both sources include a son who died in infancy, the 1900 census confirms that Frances had two children, with only Lizzie surviving at the time of the census. That would mean that the "son" was probably Laura Belle Jackson (1861-1864.)

LANGDALE on May 22,1859 at Georgetown Ridge, Miller, Dearborn Co., IN. Daughter of Robert Hill LANGDALE and Mary Corbin JACKSON. Frank d. November 8, 1899. Fanny d. May 12, 1910. Both are buried at Greendale Cemetery, Lawrenceburg, Dearborn Co., IN. Francis and Frances had the following children:
