Assumed missing generation between Robert and Margaret Dalton and Richard Dalton, husband of Elizabeth Fleming. The 1563-64 Visitation of Yorkshire indicates that Richard was the son of Robert and Margaret, but the dates make this unlikely - see Robert's page for more information.

This person may have been named Richard (or Robert) which would help to explain how a generation was missed.
