Source:Whitmore, William Henry. Record of the Descendants of Captain John Ayres of Brookfield, Mass wonders if this birth might be the Susanna Ayers who m. (1) William Scales, m. (2) Cornelius Soule. But that seems unlikely as Cornelius was born about 1703 according to his age at death (gravestone) so unlikely to have a wife 17 years older than himself. There is a Ruth Ayers, baptized 3 Oct 1686 in Rowley which might be a possible match, but her parents are not identified in the baptism record, so it is far from clear. No Ruth Ayers is mentioned in Source:Blodgette, George Brainard. Early Settlers of Rowley, Massachusetts (1887).
