Disambiguation

Note: there have been several researchers that have thought that John Warwick of Augusta County, Virginia married Mary Powell, daughter of Col. Thomas Powell of Amherst County, Virginia. This has been proven to be incorrect. There were two different John Warwick's, this one (several years older) that married in Augusta County, Virginia in 1771 [wife's name not listed on marriage record]. The other John Warwick (several years younger, abt. 1775) married Mary 'Polly' Powell, daughter of Col. Thomas Powell of Amherst County, Virginia.
