Facts and Events
Gladys (my mother) the youngest of Anna and Truman's children remembers seeing her father but once when she was around 10 years old. They were living on Persons Court inLansing when he came to see them. While Gladys was working for a lady in Lansing when she was about 18 years old, she remembers the lady telling her that her father had died in a hospital in Detroit. Clyde Fisher lived in Detroit for awhile after he was married and had seen Truman Fisher there. Clyde moved from Detroit to Flordia in 1924. So it is assumed that Truman Fisher was alive and living in Detroit at that time. Found at the State Library in Lansing Archives: Jackson Prison records. Frank F. Fisher, we're not sure where that name came from because it does show his R.N. as Truman E. Fisher. He was sentenced to 71/2 to 15 years for B & E in Lansing at night. It seems that Truman was caught and given probation a couple of times, but always seemed to violate his probation and he ended up going to prison on Feb. 20, 1919 and was paroled on November 15, 1924. His occupation at the time of his sentencing was listed as Farmer. He was 51, 5'8 1/16 in height, his weight was 144 and the color of his eyes was Violet Yellow? which seems a little scary to me!!
