Toni Lynn Bougher, 68, Greentown, passed away at 8:09 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 2, 2016, at Community Howard Regional Health. She was born May 3, 1948, in Kokomo to Kenneth Wayne Laughner and Wilma Irene (Hendrix) Laughner-Dohner. She married Richard "Dick" Bougher on Aug. 16, 1975, in Greentown, and he survives.
After Toni retired from working for the office of Dr. Senn for 20 years, she worked at Bona Vista for 19 years. She loved her job, especially the kids to whom she was known as Miss Toni. She enjoyed traveling the world, Ireland being her favorite vacation destination. She enjoyed shopping, reading and crafting, but most of all, spending time with her family and friends.
Toni is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Dick; three daughters, Staci (Al Colon) Rice, Shannon (Scott) Childers and Samantha (Jeremy) Bougher-Rose; mother, Wilma Irene (Hendrix) Laughner-Dohner; six grandchildren, Ciara (Matt Cass) Johnson, Jesse Childers, Faith LaDue, Gavin LaDue, Mackenzie Childers and Brittany Bougher; one great-grandchild, Marlo Newlin; two brothers, Terry Laughner and Tim Laughner; sister, Karen (Albert) Domanico; two special friends, Dory Turney and Beverly Ratcliff; and many other friends; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Wayne Laughner; grandson, Austin Michael Wayne LaDue; paternal and maternal grandparents.
A celebration of life for Toni will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, 2016, at Ellers Mortuary Main Street Chapel, 725 S. Main St. The family will accept family and friends from 11 a.m. until the time of the celebration at 1 p.m., on Thursday, also at the mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions would be appreciated in Toni's name to the Bona Vista Rehabilitation Programs.
