1790 Census Frederick Co., Maryland: 2 free white males, 2 free white females. Came to Maryland 13 April, 1763. Member of Reformed, Frederick Town. Granted naturalization under Statute 13 by George III. I have traced my original immigrant Hans Michael Risner and his brother Tobias Risner back into Germany. We suspect a son of Tobias Risner came to SC, but we have never proven it. For that matter we have never proven the Ky Risners are from Hans Michael Risner. I am fairly positive all Ky, Tn, SC and NC Risners were from Tobias and Hans Michael Risner. The trail in Germany [southwestern] goes back 2 more generations. But then the 3 rd generation back immigrated into that area and we have not found from where. The only Y-DNA result I have seen on a Ky Risner was Haplatype Q. This would suggest western India/ Pakistan ancestory. This would verify "family stories" of the Risners being Gypsies in the middle ages. It would also explain the dark skin, dark hair and brown eyes [at least of alot of Ky Risners]. |
