John, the youngest ch. was f. of John, b. 1740, d. 18 Sept. 1819, hav. serv. as ch. mag. of the State call. Presid. two yrs. and Gov. six yrs. and sat twelve yrs. in Senate of U.S. Six of this name had, in 1826, been gr. at Harv. and eight at the other N. E. coll."
