Tobias Bloyd b-3/27/1784 in Maryland, on 5/30/1805 he married a Nancy Amelia McMurtry,b-1775, who had earlier been married to a William Goldsby. In 1848 Tubby was living in Warrick County, Lynnview, Indiana.Tubby died 10/11/1861 buried in Boyd cem.in Spencer co Indiana.

Tubby, born 1784 in Maryland, settled in Warrick County, IN by 1820. Previous residence KY (from "Indiana Historical Society")

In Jan 1830 Tubby wrote his Uncle Eli in West Fork, Ark, that he was in Memphis, Tennessee, have gone there with a boat load of hogs to sell. He said that James McMurtry had moved to about 3 miles from his home. On Sep 12, 1848 Tuby wrote to his Uncle Eli from Lynnville, Indiana, that he started on 13 August a year ago from Price McMurtry's (Missouri) for home - through Carroll County, down White River, near Batesville (old acquaintances there), near Pocahontas, 140 miles through Missouri to Cape Girardeau, with son Preston since the previous autumn. He mentioned that James McMurtry had moved into Illinois with part of his children; part still remained at Newburgh on the Ohio. He said that his last daughter Ibby Ann was married about 3 months ago
