BRUNE, Chereska D., age 87 years, of Lynden, passed away at a local hospital Saturday, April 25, (1953). She had been a resident of Lynden district for the past 44 years. Mrs. Brune is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Dick Zylstra and Mrs. Ernest Blankers, both of Lynden, Mrs. L. O'Connor, of Langley Prairie, B. C., Mrs. Dick Geleynse and Mrs. Hilding Osberg, both of Bellingham; five sons, Fred, Dave and Bert, all of Lynden, Peter, of Denver, Colo., and Simon of Everett, Wash.; 30 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, April 28, at 2 p. m. from the First Christian Reform Church, in Lynden, with the Rev. Louis Voskuil officiating. Interment, Monumenta Cemetery, under direction of the Gillies Funeral Home at Lynden.
