"85 Dr. Timothy4 Warner, son of Ichabod3 and Mary (Metcalf) Warner, born December 21, 1724, recorded in Lebanon, Conn.; died April 8, 1760, recorded in Windham, Conn., buried in old Cemetery in Scotland. Conn., where the following inscription is found on his tombstone:
Here lies ye Body / of Dr Timothy / Warner who died / Suddenly by a Fall / From a horse April / 8th 1760 in ye 36 Year / of his Age. / The Benevolence of / his Temper his un / wearied Application to Business & Exten / five Ufefulnefs as a / Phyfician Rendered / his Perfon Amiable / his life very benefici / al & his death Great / ly lamented."
He was appointed physician to the 'army gone to Crown Point, October, 1755' (Conn. Col. Records, 10:444).
Documents pertaining to the settlement of his estate are found in the Windham Probate Records, 6:162, 7:117, 118. He owned buildings near the meeting house of the third society of Windham. The inventory was taken May 9, 1760, by John and Hezekiah Manning, and Ichabod Warner, junr, and showed a valuation of £633-14-11, which was finally divided among the widow and heirs in 1766. Jonathan Rudd, John and Hczekiah Manning were the distributors, and property was set out to Mrs. Ireny Hibberd the widow and Relict of the aforesaid Deceasd; to Jared, eldest son; to Hannah, eldest daughter to daughter Ireney. David Ripley. William Ripley, and Nathan Hibberd signed as guardians of the last three respectively."
