    "Rev. Timothy Pitkin … was b. Jan. 13,1727. … d. July 8, 1812. … grad, at Yale 1747; a tutor at Yale from 1750 to 1751; from 1777 to 1804 a Fellow of the Yale College Corporation; was one of the beneficiaries of Yale to the amount of one hundred and fifty pounds (£150). He studied theology and was installed pastor, in 1752, of the Congregational Church, Farmington, Conn. Bacon, in his 'Ecclesiastical History,' mentions him as one of the 'half century ministers' of New England. He was one of the Trustees of Yale College for many years, and when Dartmouth (N. H.) was instituted he was chosen one of the Board of Trustees for it."
