    Clitheroe; Low Moor Mill and village. Site of a fine early ninteeth-century ‘fireproof’ spinning mill, mainly built by Jeremiah Garnett and Thomas Horsfall who in 1799 bought mill started by J. & J. Parker 1783. Weir on Ribble 3/4 mile north. Formerly three waterwheels. . . . The mill was destroyed in 1967.
