    About Thomas Wood, Sr.

Thomas was imported, or imported himself, into Orange county (now Greene County) Virginia in 1746. Records show he purchased land from Thomas Chews in 1750 and sold to Bennett Beasley in 1754. No mention made of him in Orange County after that date. He was deceased by Sept. 6, 1764 as that is the date of his inventory and appraisment in Bedford County, VA.
