"71. Lieutenant Thomas (5) Williams … eighth child of Charles and Mary (Robinson) Williams, was born at East Haddam, Conn., January 25, 1728, and died there February 25, 1806, buried at Waterhole Burying Ground. Lieutenant Thomas fought in the battles of Lexington and Bunker Hill and throughout the entire Revolutionary War.
He married (1) Amy Cone of Killingworth, who died January 27, 1773. He married (2) Anne Gates, widow of Nathaniel Gates, and who died January 16, 1784. She was admitted May 28, 1775, 'recommended by the church in East Hampton.' He married (3) Sarah (Sparrow) Fuller, widow of Elisha Fuller and daughter of Benjamin Sparrow. Following his death, she married Captain Aaron Foote and died April 16, 1818.
