Signed THOMAS WHITLOCK. Witness William Roberts, William Redford, JAMES MAYO. MARY WHITLOCK, the wife of Thomas, acknowledges her release of dower. Deed Book 6, Page 145,146 August 1753 (R1795/2/3) (R78/361) THOMAS WHITLOCK and James Mayo each fined 5 shillings for swearing. On the summons of Arthur Hopkins & John Payne, Gent. Against THOMAS WHITLOCK & James Mayo for breach of their good behaviour, the parties being heard, It is Considered by the Court, that the said WITLOCK (sic) & Mayo enter into Recognizance, Conditioned for their good behaviour for One year & a Day with Security, Whereupon the said WHITLOCK enters into Recognizance in the Sum of twenty pounds Currt. Money. Then the said Mayo enters into Recognizance in the Sum of twenty poundsCurrt. Money. And it is Ordered that the said WHITLOCK and Mayo do pay Costs & a Lawyers Fee. Goochland Co.
