Pallot's Marriage Index has two possible marriages: 1811 Stepney st Dunstan - Thomas Whitaker and Mary Jones. 1811 St Luke Old Street - Thomas Whitaker and Mary Fitzpatrick. The latter is possibly the more likely.


See Will dated 25 December 1842: Thomas Whitaker, silversmith, leaving all to his wife Susan. There is a marriage at St Leonards, Shoreditch, on 17 March 1833 between Thomas Whitaker and Susan Prior. Is it possible that Joseph's father married twice?

Possible death registration: Dec 1854 Shoreditch 1c 122. His will was proved 28 Oct 1854.
