The Fisher Cemetery was a small, rural cemetery, and apparently not well kept up. Ron Woodward, the Wabash County Historian, writes that: "This cemetery is situated at country roads 100E and 300N. Many stones are down and piled along a fence row and among trees. This cemetery was first recorded in June 1977 by members of the Wabash Junior High School History Club. It was revisited in June of 1991 with more stones now visible."

Ron's book listed the names of only 21 burials. Only the Vanduyne couple, and the Roush (Rausch) family were recognize by this compiler. None of the remaining burials had Germanic surnames.

The cemetery is located southeast of Urbana.

Note that Thomas' son, Jesse, was enumerated in the 1850 census on the same page as the Daniel Lower family.

Ron shows his death as: "3-8-1877 age 104"! Pretty old for someone of that generation! Could Ron have made an error here? Yes, I think he did!

  3. David Baker of Tennessee.

Dave also shows Thomas' death to be: 8 Mar 1877. However, that would not be age 104!
