Cause of Death:<CAUS> Cardiopulimonary arrest, complete heart block, arteriosclorotic heart disease Tom was a fun loving kind of guy. After his father's death in 1919 his mother chose to raise him and his siblings as Catholics and hebecame an Altar Boy in the Catholic church. He had a beautiful tenor voice asused to sing solo acapella at the high mass. He had various health problems and was not expected to live past age 20. He met & married Mildred Martin in Des Moines, Iowa and they had a child together, Patricia Ann. When Patty was about 3 months old, Tom went to pursue his career in San Francisco leavingMildred and Patty alone. After a few years Mildred divorced him. In 1938, Patty became seriously ill after contracting the measles and Tom and Mildred remarried. On July the 4th of 1938, Patty passed away at the age of 7. Both Mildred and Tommy were devastated by their little girl's death. I don't believeeither one of them ever got over it. Tom and Mildred the moved to Los Angeles,CA and had two more girls together, Jannalee (Jan) and Thomasina (Cookie). They moved to San Bernardino, CA in 1946. They remained married for 46 years until Mildred divorced him for the final time. Because of his drinking and abuse he had become impossible to live with. A few years later, when he knew he was dying, he showed up on Mildred's doorstep and she took him in and caredfor him until her own health was is jeopardy. He then went to a nursing homewhere Mildred would go to visit him until he died 6 months later at the ageof 74. Tommy was an extremely brilliant man and he was a furrier by trade. His work was known from coast to coast. Unfortunately, he wasted his talent onwine, women and song and died a lonely man.
