57 Thomas Twitchell, (Benjaminz¹, Joseph², Ephraim³), son of Ephraim Twitchell and Sarah (Millen) Twitchell, was born in Sherborn, Mass., Sept. 29, 1732, and died in Westborough, Mass., Feb. 25, 1810. The local historian in giving the history of the school districts, given as "squadrons," each squadron composed of names representing the group supporting each school-house, or using it for their children, mentions in the 3rd squadron the name of Thomas Twitchell and also the name of his son, Thomas Twitchell, 2nd.

He married, at Holliston, Dec. 31, 1747, Susanna Stedman, who died at Westborough Dec. 12, 1809.
