    Citing Halifax VR: "Mr Thomas Tomson Seniro Dyed october the 26th 1742" [also printed MD 3:30]. Citing gravestone in Thompson Street Cemetery Halifax: "Here lyes interr'd ye Body of Mr Thomas Tomson who died Octo'br ye 26th 1742 aged 78 years ..." But according to probate records of Plymouth County, an administrator to his estate was aapointed "twenty ninth day of September" in 1742. bond dated 23 Jan 1742/43, inventory taken 13 Jul 1743.

    18 Dec 1743 settlement of his estate mentions "the Six Children": "Ruben Tomson the Eldest son", other sons Ebenezer, Zebediah, Thomas, and Amasa, and "Mary Waterman the wife of Samuel Waterman Daughter of the s'd Deceased".
