THOMAS STANLEY, bp. Ashford 18 September 1631 [Flagg 299]; bur there 29 March 1632 [TAG 80:221]. (Mahler gave the year of his birth as 1630 [TAG 80:221]. Examination of the Archdeacon's Transcripts shows that the year was 1631. In addition, the second child listed by Mahler, a son John, was actually the son of "Thomas Standy," who was of a different family and had at least one other child baptized at Ashford.)
