Thomas2 Smith, born about 1627; died at Jamaica in 1689 (will proved 10 Apr. 1689); married Patience [Mills?]. He was Townsman at Jamaica, 1664; was called "Sr." in 1686. He may be the Thomas Smith who before 1657 was at Norwalk, Conn., but did not remain there.

Thomas2 Smith married first, at Rehoboth, 5 Nov. 1651, Judith Smith, doubtless mother of the older children, and the births of the sons Thomas and John we feel should be placed earlier than stated. Thomas Smith of Rehoboth sold his house and lot there, bounded on that of William Smith, 16 May 1654, and the autograph of William Smith as witness there appears [Bowen's Early Rehoboth, 3:156].
