Several years ago, while researching Patrick SHEEHAN, I corresponded with a very nice and personable descendant from the same family who said that she had heard that Thomas had stolen the family fortune and ran off to live a life of luxury on the other side of the country. As interesting as this sounded, it turned out to be untrue. After both of his parents had passed on, Thomas and his wife Flora moved with their five children to Montana where they rented a small house and Thomas went to work sweating in the copper mines of Anaconda until he retired. After a few years, they were able to buy a house and Flora helped out the family's budget by renting out rooms.
